That's a baby kangaroo. Alone. No mother. No father. No wide open spaces. I really really hope it was just having a bad day.
We left the petting zoo after I saw that.

Hi Cait,
I think it's a wallaby, and it's not all that young. They're born bald and about the size of a peanut. I wouldn't feel too sad for it, especially if it's been raised in captivity. They actually enjoy human company.
